Legionella Risk Assessments
The first stage in preventing Legionnaires’ Disease and Legionellosis is to carry out a "suitable and sufficient" Risk Assessment. The purpose is to identify all systems that could present a risk of exposure to Legionella bacteria. These include:
- Hot & Cold Water systems
- Cooling Water systems
- Spa Pools
- Any other system containing water with the potential for Legionella grow and be released in an aerosol
Each system must have its own Risk Assessment, which must be carried out by trained personnel who are competent to do so.
Our risk assessors use a unique risk matrix scoring system to help identify those factors which increase risk, so you can see at a glance where you need to prioritise your remedial actions and what you have to do to comply with the regulations.
The resulting report is comprehensive yet concise and can be used as an effective management tool to reduce risk and monitor improvement.
