Water Chlorination Services for new installations

Our teams of highly trained technicians routinely disinfect both new and incoming water supplies using chlorine in accordance with the requirements of BS6700.

Water Tank Cleaning and Down-Service Disinfection

In order to control the legionella risk and maintain water hygiene water storage tanks should be inspected regularly and, if necessary, physically cleaned and then disinfected. Our technicians observe the rigorous safety precautions needed for working in confined spaces and once clean we carry out a water tank chlorination and, where required disinfect the water distribution down-services fed from the tank.

When disinfecting a system which is known to be contaminated with biofilm or legionella bacteria chlorine dioxide or hydrogen peroxide may be used as a more potent alternative to chlorine.

Water Tank Painting & Coating

Corroded water storage tanks can be stripped back to a sound metal base and then coated with a highly durable, WRC-approved, 2 pack water-based paint.

Pseudomonas Control in Closed Water Systems

Pseudomonas bacteria form microbial slimes which can cause major fouling problems in cooling and chilled water systems. We have a range of products and services that can kill, clean and flush pseudomonads from a closed system and restore flow and cooling. Cooling Tower Cleaning & Disinfection

In order to minimise the risk of legionnaires’ disease and comply with the requirements of ACoP L8 cooling systems should be cleaned and disinfected regularly to remove fouling that can provide a growth environment for legionella bacteria. The normal process involves pre-chlorination incorporating additional bio-dispersant, physical cleaning and then a further post chlorination before the system is returned safely to service.

Where practical and within the agreed scope of works, the cooling tower packing may be removed for additional inspection and cleaning.

We also offer a unique foam cleaning system incorporating Activ-Ox®, our patented chlorine dioxide chemistry, which is ideal for in-situ disinfection and cleaning of cooling tower packing. 

A full report of all works is produced identifying areas requiring remedial action and, where required, a photographic report showing the cooling tower condition.

Cooling Tower Repair and Refurbishment 

We provide a comprehensive inspection service and can carry out any necessary cooling tower repairs. 

Cooling tower refurbishment may include, as appropriate, the replacement of air inlet louvres, drift eliminators, cooling tower packing / fill, repairs to the distribution systems, replacement of spray nozzles, fan repairs and sump painting / coating.
