Code of Conduct for Service Providers

The Code of Conduct for Service Providers associated with the control of legionellosis ("Code" for short) was established at the request of the Health & Safety Executive, who wanted the water treatment industry to establish its own self-regulation.

Feedwater were involved from day one and were founder members of the Legionella Control Association (LCA), which was established to write and administer the Code. We continue to play an active role in the executive management of the LCA.

The Code requires registrants like us to establish robust management systems to comply with 8 key commitments. These systems are intended to ensure you get an appropriate standard of service; compliance is monitored by the LCA.

It should be understood that whilst the Code is "policed" by the LCA it is intended that it be used as a tool for customers to vet prospective water treatment suppliers.
