For any person appointed to carry out control measures for the prevention of legionella, suitable information, training ans competancy should be assessed. (L8 para 45)
Legionella Training - Classroom based- The Feedwater Legionella training day is a well established course bringing together the need to understand where Legionella bacteria occur and thrive, what you need to do about it, who can help you and how best to deal with the issues that arise from Legionella management.
Refresher training is provided as recoreds of all training should be maintaned in the site log. Training ensures that tasks are completed in a safe and technically competent manner.
Competance is dependant on the needs of the situation and the nature of the risks involved
